Daniel Morcombe never got to walk home after disappearing while waiting for a bus almost five years ago. Yesterday, more than 500 people joined his parents Bruce and Denise to complete the journey past his home for him.
Among those joining the third walk were cricketer Ian Healy and former Brisbane Bronco Shane Webcke.
"Since becoming a father myself, I came here with so much more understanding and support," Webcke said.
Bruce and Denise thanked the Coast for its support and told how about 250,000 people would take part in Day for Daniel activities across Australia, from Townsville to Tasmania.
"The response has been phenomenal," Daniel Morcombe Foundation organiser Melinda Haeusler said.
